Aquiver Films is a small, independent, Amsterdam based film company.
Founder
Stijn Koomen is a Dutch actor, writer and director. As an actor he is mostly known for feature films like: R U There (2010) Stages (2007), Deep (2005) and Simon (2004). Or the Dutch TV-hit series: "I am Willem".
Next to acting Stijn has always been writing. In 2018 he graduated from drama school in Amsterdam. During this four-year education Stijn specialized in writing and directing. His heart has always been in film, so during and after school he immediately started to write, direct and produce films. ‘SHIFT’ was his first short film. The film won various “Best Mobile Phone Film” prizes and special mentions. Stijn's second short: ‘Arjen must Die’ was a finalist in the Reno Comedy Film Festival 2021 in Nevada and was widely very well received. 'Ein Wunsch Nach Weihnacht', his latest short, premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival 2021 (NFF) and had its International premiere at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival 2022 in California.
